New Technology To Save Endangered Whales

Moving on ,Chile has come up with a new high-tech technology ,that can help in protecting migrating whales. you must be wondering what exactly is this technology . well the smart buoy can hear the ocean and in return it can help the endangered whales, to avoid colliding with ships. while migrating from Antarctica to the equator. the buoy works by using a software called listening to the deep ocean environment or Lido. this monitor sounds and uses AI to identify cetacines, their type and locations in real time.

It then alerts nearby vessels. so that they can reduce the noise and avoid collisions. the device also contains various oceanographic sensors to monitor oceans. and see how the ocean is reacting to climate change. which could then help guide public policy. the buoy is the first of many planned by the Blue Boat initiative and was installed in the Gulf of corcovado. it is the ability ,we have to listen to the Sea and not only to listen to it , to understand its messages not in a philosophical sense , but a scientific technological .

TECHNOLOGY TO SAVE ENDANGERED WHALES

We are able to decipher the different acoustic sources that occur within the water.  combine them into a coherent soundscape alert of the negative effects of human actions or climate change. to be able to act or mitigate in case that , we suddenly identify what the problem is on the long term. some 1100 kilometers south of Chile’s Capital as the area steaming with marine life and has a large number of blue whales, as well as say in France ,Wales during the Austrian summer.

Moreover the initiative’s idea is to be able to cover the entire migratory route of the whales , from Antarctica to the equator. it is one of the richest places in the world in terms of marine flora and fauna. it is precisely in this place ,where the largest number of blue whales gather during the summer months from all over the southern hemisphere. to feed they are followed by the right whale, the thigh whale all of them in danger of extinction as well as other endemic species.
