Cold Weather Hit Russian Capital| Climate Change

Over the weekend , extreme cold weather

hit Russia’s capital Moscow with

temperatures falling as low as minus 26

degrees Celsius. a famous ice rink on the

Red Square was closed down due to

freezing temperatures . the ice rink is

expected not to reopen until Tuesday.

I have been living in Moscow for 18

years and all that time the weather was

not very cold. it was some kind of light

version today it feels Frosty, it feels

like we are in Siberia.

temperatures were expected to fall as

low as minus 22 degrees Celsius on

Sunday evening. according to the Russian

Met Office temperatures are around 16

degrees colder than normal for this time

of year . moreover authorities have

imposed in Orange weather Hazard until

the 10th of January . meanwhile the severe

cold weather is expected to remain in

Russia’s capital until Thursday.
