Greta Thunberg backs anti-coal demonstration in Germany

Climate activist Greta turnberg has

backed the anti-call protests at a

village in Western Germany. this comes

just days after a facial between

security forces and protesters, who have

been camping there to protest , the

expansion of a coal mine during a visit

to the side . turnberg

condemned the forced removal protesters

calling the act outrages and added that,

the expansion of the guts file at

lignite Coal Mine in 2023 was absurd.

I think it’s absolutely absurd that , this

is happening via 2023.

it is the most affected people are clear,

the science is clear, we need to keep the

carbon in the ground and this is it’s a

German , it’s really embarrassing itself

right now.

turnbag says that , she plans to join the

demonstration on Saturday. where

demonstrators have dug in to try to stop

the expansion of the coal mine. tunberg

also accused the German government of

destroying the environment and putting

people’s lives at risk ,by going ahead to

the expansion of the Mine.

we expect to show what people power

looks like and what democracy looks like,

and that’s when governments and

corporations are acting like, this are

actually actively destroying the

environment putting counters of people

at risk and the people step up . it

shouldn’t have to be that way but that’s

how it is right now.

the village of lit’s heart lies in the

brown coal districts of the western

state of North Orion Westphalia.

demonstrations against the expansion of

a coal mine here have been going on for

two weeks two years now . actually we see

this as a symbol of Berlin’s failing

climate policy .
