So much for a ground-breaking design.

The Ram 1500 Revolution concept, which Stellantis unveiled this past January, was intended to serve as the basis for Ram’s first electric truck, according to the automaker. A first glance at the 2024 Ram 1500 REV has finally been released by Stellantis, more than a month after the concept vehicle we saw at CES 2023. And wouldn’t you know it, the pre-production model resembles its gas-guzzling ancestors rather than the futuristic design we saw there.

To begin with, the “brutiful” styling of the prototype is not present in the 2024 model. Stellantis has taken the safe route, just like Ford did with the F-150 Lightning. The Ram 1500 REV differs from the majority of other Rams currently in production mostly by having more contemporary-looking front and rear lights.
The vehicle’s interior also has a more traditional design. It lacks the revolutionary edge of the future that the Revolution had. According to the pictures Stellantis posted, the production model also won’t come equipped with a lot of the more eccentric elements that the carmaker managed to fit into the Ram 1500 REV concept. However, the new car does have a trunk, so at least there’s something.

By making a $100 deposit through the Ram website, you can secure a pre-order spot for the 2024 Ram 1500 REV. There is plenty of time to wait for Stellantis to disclose additional details before deciding whether or not to purchase the EV because deliveries are not anticipated to begin until late next year. In the interim, the Ram 1500 REV Super Bowl advertisement that the business expects to broadcast later today is rather entertaining and well worth watching even if you don’t have any interest in purchasing a large electric truck.
