Another Storm Hits California | Climate Change

let’s talk about the effects of climate

change now, California has been hit by a

newly formed Pacific storm. the storm has

brought Heavy Rain thunderstorms and

strong winds and has killed at least two

people . warnings of fresh flooding have

been sounded and fresh evacuation orders

have been issued. President Joe Biden has

approved an emergency declaration for

the state. the fresh storm is called

Pineapple Express, and experts say it

could cause some of the heavy snow part

to melt . which would overwhelm river

systems .

on Friday raging flood waters

and Saco various homes.

major highways were flooded, traffic had

to be diverted about 55000 Californians

were left without power and more than 9000

were under evacuation orders . not

just humans but even animals are facing

difficulties. as ranchers are finding it

hard to reach their cattle so this air

dropped hay to cuttles funded due to

snowy conditions.

experts say up to nine inches of rain

were expected in some parts of the state

with several feet of heavy wet snow

falling over mountains. where huge snow

park has already built up over the

months emergency crews meanwhile

preparing for the possibility of any

dangerous situation.

Public Information Officer said as,

we have activated our EOC our Emergency

Operations Center , so we are poised and

readily coordinating with all of our

partner agencies, local state federal

agencies to make sure that we’re able to

quickly and efficiently respond to

anything that occurs.

this is the latest of 10 such storms

that have hit California since last two

months . back to back winter storms have

left at least 14 people dead. officials

are urging residents to take precaution

and stay at home to prevent more

casualties.
