Denver Springs, Colorado (KRDO) Some people may be conducting their last-minute grocery shopping on Saturday because everyone will be thinking about the Easter Sunday vacation.
Budgets are tight right now because families are most concerned about inflation. Families still want to cook their loved ones the nicest Easter Sunday meal they can.
To make your Easter breakfast and dinner pleasant and reasonably priced, some neighbourhood grocery stores have dropped prices on a number of menu alternatives.
According to Safeway Senior Director of Public Affairs Kris Staaf, ‘we recognise family budgets are particularly tight right now so we want to help our consumers by cutting the price of breakfast items and dinner items over the Easter vacation’.
If you shop at Safeway or Albertsons, they have put together a meal option for a family of six that costs less than $50. It comes with a dinner roll, butter, potatoes, vegetables, an 8 pound spiral ham and dessert.
Natural Grocers, a different grocery store in the neighbourhood, offered a family of four a four-meal pasta bargain for $12, a four-meal burger deal for $13, and a four-meal chicken deal for $14. Families can choose from a number of options based on everyone’s preferences in this way.
Yet grocery stores are aware that Easter Sunday is one of the busiest brunch occasions of the year.
Brunch is popular around the Easter vacation, and Staaf noted that it fits into families’ desire to gather, enjoy food, and have stimulating conversations.
Important breakfast items are now cheaper at Safeway. such as pancake mix, bacon, croissants, fresh fruit and orange juice.
You can find these similar deals through Tuesday at any Safeway or Albertsons in Colorado, according to Staaf.
For the month of April, Natural Grocers is also offering a french toast brunch bargain that will feed a family of four for $17.
The greatest approach to benefit from discounts and special offers is to look around your preferred grocery shop for sale stickers, tags and advertisements. Moreover, look for coupons on the grocery store’s website or mobile app, or ask a staff member there to send you in the proper path.
Shopping our own brands, which Safeway owns, is another method that customers may save money, according to Staaf. “Safeway Signature, O Organics, and Lucerne.”
These similar offers, which expire on Tuesday, can be found at any Safeway or Albertsons in Colorado, according to Staaf.
It’s better to complete all of your grocery shopping on Saturday because many supermarkets are closed or have shortened hours on Sunday.
Food insecurity, however, is still an issue during the Christmas season, so Safeway collaborates with Care and Share to donate food all year long to be distributed to needy families.
According to Care and Share President and CEO Nate Springer, it is “really neat” that these grocery stores have partnered with us to ensure that the food they are removing from their shelves makes its way to the food bank, where we can then distribute it to all of our partner organisations so they can assist people.
Southern Colorado’s food banks have noticed an uptick in demand. On their website, Care and Share provides a “Find Food” button to assist users in finding local food banks.
If you are on the other side and would like to assist, you can send food or money to Care and Share, or you can volunteer.
