Humpback Whale Washes Ashore In U.S. | Climate Change

Whales the gentle Giants off the oceans,

they are large in size and are

intelligent aquatic mammals , but

sometimes they get lost and end up on

the sea beaches. in the U.S state of New

Jersey , another humpback whale was washed

up a shore.

the 30-foot humpback whale washed a shore

in the Atlantic City. this is the second

such occurrence in a month.

all this has prompted concerns from

environmental groups, who say these would

be related to underwater work being done

to prepare for an offshore wind farm.

these claims come after New Jersey is

striving to be the East Coast leader in

the burgeoning offshore wind energy

sector . the state has approved three

offshore wind farms and is soliciting

more during the first quarter of this

year . meanwhile additional projects are

planned off the New York coast,

according to the Marine Mammal stranding

Center located just north of Atlantic

City in a Brigantine.

those who responded to Atlantic City’s

two recent whale deaths, it has not yet

known what caused these deaths until the

results come from the post-mortem tests.

they also say that there might be many

variables, that could be at play

including underwater sonars used by the

military.

the prevalence of plastic pollution in

the ocean,

and the ever-present danger of

collisions with ships.
