The Fiat Doblo is clearly a van-based vehicle, which explains why it has such a large interior. It’s not as enjoyable to drive, though, as more traditional MPVs.
The Fiat Doblo is an extremely useful and reasonably priced MPV. It serves as an alternative to vehicles like the Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Rifter, and, like those vehicles, the Doblo Cargo serves as the foundation for both its reasonable pricing and enormous practicality.
The fact that it provides everything you need and that you have a commanding perspective of the road and everything around it may be the nicest thing you can say about it.
Families will also enjoy the Fiat Doblo because of its spacious interior and the ease with which everyone can enter and exit thanks to its sliding rear doors. It comes with five seats as usual, but you may choose to add another two, making it one of the most affordable seven-seaters available. The interior will have enough space for everyone, whether you choose the five or seven seat version.
As if that weren’t enough, the seats can be folded away when not in use to reveal a sizable boot. You have 3,200 litres of space to work with if you remove all five of the back seats. Due to the space’s height, you can even place a bike or pram in an upright position.
As of now, so van-like, what’s going to surprise you is how much more comfortable and like driving a car the Fiat Doblo actually is. Or, it is provided that a small number of persons are present. If not, the car has a tendency to bounce around a little. As a compromise for that degree of comfort, the soft suspension causes the body to roll slightly when turning.
Given that this is a large vehicle built to transport heavy objects or a large number of passengers, it should come as no surprise that the diesel engine is the best option. Nevertheless, if you plan to spend a lot of time in town with little luggage, the petrol option might be worth considering.
Although being based on a van, the Fiat Doblo contains many car-like safety features, including driver, passenger, and side airbags across the board, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, and an electronic stability programme.
But, if you look at the most basic variants, the Fiat Doblo isn’t so well-equipped in other areas.
They are inexpensive, though, so they represent terrific value if all you need is a lot of room without spending a lot of money. The problem is that it can appear very pricey if you contemplate a model higher up in the rpm range because you want additional equipment. You would be better off investing in a “real” MPV.
