New Zealand has been battered by flash
floods , which inundated the country’s
biggest city Auckland, while the rains
have stopped and the waters are now
receding, there’s a massive cleanup
process that is presently underway.
there were cars that were seen that were
completely tumbled up ,they were uprooted
trees , homes
had been submerged in many places and
there was large parts of land that was
inundated. but this is what the scene
presently looks like in Auckland.
local residents are joining hands to
clean up the mess, even small children
are lending their hands to clean up
their neighborhood.
a state of emergency remains in place in
the city of about 1.6 million people are
even after the rains had eased after
Friday’s flooding in the north , not West
and West . the new prime minister
chrisipkins surveyed the flood-affected
area and assured help.
this is an unprecedented event in recent
memory,

killed and one person is missing because
of the flooding , and the extreme weather
caused widespread flooding and
evacuations closing the city’s airports

scheduled concert by Elton John. the
downpour broke auckland’s rainfall
records with the city’s airport logging
nearly about 249 millimeters of rain in
the 24 hours , beating the 1985 high of
161 millimeters . another downpour is
possible on Sunday in New Zealand’s in
national weather forecaster has said
that the impact of the flood is expected
to be severe, and wide reaching because
of the already saturated ground.
